Keeping Straight
What is this life that bends and breaks,
Shatters the emotion like cutting a fresh cake.
Who knows what the limits that can keep without,
Or the depths of the oceans that God can make.
Without Him there is no mistake,
With Him there is only one fate.
While I lay here in my own way,
The gravity does not ever stray.
When I am walking I can not keep straight,
So whose hand will have mine held tight.
Whose eyes will keep me in sight
Or has the love that I love long been terminated?
Whether thoughtless aggression,
Or an odorless phosphate,
Truly, there will be none there on my dying day.
Surely, there will be one there for my soul,
And finally with my Lord I will forever stay.
