She Smiles in Endless Fields

Her last breath was here
With us all
Her next breath is...
An awakening
In an endless, emerald field
She stands and smiles
At the radiant purple dawn
Yellow dress against the southern winds
She spins and laughs
And walks toward the horizon
Breeze gliding through her chestnut hair
She looks back and thinks of us
And waves goodbye
Laughs her infectious laughter
And strolls toward the sun

Author notes

For Farrah
Some of you might know her better as MoonlightBeam
She loved this site
And she loved you all
She rests in peace
And I can still hear her laugh

I read this again. It still makes me cry and I know why now. Your poem makes me know that its words are true. So, in a way, I know her .... Ya know?

    peace to you

    Hannah.
    This makes me happy.
    I listened to that song.
I love the image you gave me to the music.
It suits her so well, and she would have loved it.
    It's beautiful.

I didn't know her, yet, your beautiful poem brings her into my thoughts ... perhaps I know her, perhaps the image i have from the poem, of a free heart, always free, laughing in joy just to always always be.

I didn't know her, but you made me cry ... I don't cry very often.

    peace ,,,Moqui
