I thought this day would never come. For so long we've been kept apart by circumstances - your job, my job, travel - everything seemed to be conspiring against us. How many times we made plans to be together but it never happened. I lost count. Until...
Just a normal afternoon for me, home from work, make a drink and sit down to write; to write more poems of love and desire. Thinking. Daydreaming. If only my words could bring you to me, here by my side, to stay and make the pretty phrases a reality.
I thought I heard a sound over the music playing in my room. The doorbell. Not loud...quietly insistent. Hurrying down the hallway, I could see a shadow through the frosted glass of my front door. I knew the shape, had seen it so many times in my mind; shoulders back, head held high and for a tiny moment as I opened the door my heart stopped, I couldn't breathe, no movement at all - the world stood still. You were standing in my doorway, the sun in the west lighting your silhouette from behind but it was the glow in your eyes, the look I had been waiting to see for so many lonely nights that captured my heart.
Hugging, kissing, words tumbling from both of us; I was in a whirl of feelings, emotions, yearnings but best of all I was in your arms.
No time for polite chitchat. No catching up on what's been happening in our lives. With a gentle smile you took my hand and led me down the path to my gate. "Let's go for a walk" you said "fresh air to clear our heads".
I tried to hide my disappointment. I had been wanting you for so long, too long and you wanted to go for a walk. Oh well, at least we're walking together, holding hands; at least I can feel you beside me.
Along Jellicoe Street we walked, up the hill heading east. Not knowing our destination I followed your lead, trusting you. Once we hit the top of the hill you turned to the right, down a wooded path that leads along the escarpment of the mountain range I call home. Stepping over tree roots, carefully making our way through the bush as twilight descended on us. Then we stepped through the trees and my eyes widened in surprise, I didn't know this was here, so close to my house. A waterfall. Not the giant cascading type, just a small spilling of water, a liquid screen that seemed to catch the dying rays of the sun and shot rainbows all around us.
Your smile was so wide, your eyes sparkling, hand holding mine so tenderly. We didn't need words. No invitation. Slowly we walked to the edge of the pool formed by the fall of water. Slipped out of our clothes and stepped in. Tentative steps at first, then more boldly, splashing, giggling, like a couple of kids on holiday.
You led me to the point where the water hit and exploded back; a little scary, but thrilling me with thoughts of what I hoped would be ahead. Quietly we slipped behind the veil of the falls and were suddenly in our own little world.
It was then that you silently took me in your arms, slow tender kisses starting at the tip of my nose, feathery breaths across my cheek, tongue tickling the spot behind my ear that you love so much. Already I was sighing, wanting to hold you here forever, unable to utter a word, move a muscle, these sweet and gentle touches from your mouth were sending me into a spiral of wanting and aching for you.
You knew. I could feel you hardening against me, kisses becoming deeper, hands caressing, moving everywhere at once...stroking my shoulder, slipping down the length of my arms, sneaking across to hold my breast, taking a nipple between two fingers and slowly teasing a response. Replacing fingers with the warmth of your mouth. So many sensations. Heat from your body, the coolness of the water splashing over us, around us, wrapped in a blanket of love and lust...wanting each other so much, trying to be patient but wanting to rush ahead...
It's been so long...as you spread kisses along my body, my hands reach for you, encircling your hardness, holding you tenderly, almost in awe of the beauty that seems to flow from you; strong and firm, soft and tender. I can't wait any longer, kneeling before you I slowly open my mouth and slide my lips around you, looking up at you for approval...your slave if you want me...you smile a sweet smile back at me and nod your head ever so slightly, hands moving to entangle my hair, holding me close to you, close to the centre of your pleasure.
Licking, flicking my tongue along the glorious length of you, kissing, nibbling, sucking........
my own aching forgotten, all I want is to see your eyes widen in surprise and pleasure as my mouth works overtime, sucking the life out of you, reaching my hands round to grip your cheeks and dig my nails into the soft skin there, then teasing you with my tongue for a moment, slowly, very slowly but teasing is not what I have in mind.
Your hands in my hair tighten their grip, my lips wrapped around you, filling my mouth, down into my throat, filling my body and my senses with your scent and taste. I can't stop now...as my mouth draws you in your hips move, thrusting against me, harder, faster, strong deep thrusts, moaning, calling my name "NOW...PLEASE...AAHHHHHHH"
I can feel every sweet, burning, scalding drop of you spurting down my throat, filling my mouth, dripping down my chin...I have been so hungry for you...and you fed me...the nourishment I need. You taste so very good.
Blindly I reach for you, wanting to be held and soothed...
But you're gone, I'm alone at my computer, shivering in the early evening chill...
It was just a beautiful dream.
