Letter to a lost poetic voice

such needs, such pleads; oh to have back again that spark, that fire...
(I so totally understand)...

Reconnecting and getting it put deep inside you;
and you'd be filled up again with such an enticing electricity...
enlivening you to awaken those old desires of passionate creativity,
of delectable movements pushing and thrusting you onward toward your own aching renaissance...

toward that fulfilling fervency....

mmmmm, how tasteful you must be, my dearest...
I hunger to taste your passion for prose...
I hope someday to feel your movements and meanderings...

...your sugared poetries and spicy intellectualisms...
someday I'll feel inside you, what moves and compels you to ache as you do...
and we'll smile together, happy that our enjoyments are mutual...

Until then, Dearest, I'll simply wait, and listen, and smile...

Because I know you'll be back on top again,
you'll see yourself over me as you feel me over you at this moment;
which is simply wonderful because I will so need you over me,
to guide me and encourage my own passions to find you and your mouth
and you'll see that in finding such pleasuring of languages once again you will be righted,
you will be mounted on top.

So take courage, Dear, you will succeed!
-Poetry will be forthcoming again, and I eagerly anticipate your renewal!

Author notes

This says it all, this was a letter to a very dear and close friend who feels her writer's block suffocating.

    You are a pretty good writer. I like this poem. I like how you worded it. Good luck in the contest!

    I know how this feels to go through such an awkward time and for my writing to sometimes be affected by it. Well written and very relatable, I can confess.
