Just come slide yourself away from me,
And brighten up this dreary day of mine.
Try showing me some of the answers,
Instead of clouding it with doubt.
I want to reach out from within me,
But I feel so trapped in the middle.
Many fears and troubles you cast,
Upon the loneliness deep inside of me.
Why have you come into my life,
And only to turn it upside down?
I finally discover who I truly am,
Suddenly lost is the pages of my memory.
My mind tries to find reason and logic,
Only to find there's none to be seen.
Emotions felt of crying and laughter,
Yet I haven't been able to do either.
My heart says I can still be loved,
But my head tells me to beware.
The body doesn't know how to anymore,
When the emotions are finally released.
The question that comes to me so often,
Is why do you continue to haunt me so?
Many feelings of bewilderment are held,
About life and what lies ahead for my soul.
Just come slide yourself away from me,
And brighten up this day for me.
