Simple

He speaks in riddles

to my heart~

the big words.

  A timbre

in his voice

can speak volumes.

He danced me

in the rain

on a country road,

and my Momma

sighed,

said Love shouldn't

be so strong at my age.

It was when

he burned a heart

on the lawn of the school,

that I knew~

Risks make it all worthwhile.

Author notes

I am not sure why.. But that quote so reminded me of when I was younger. Love came so easy it had such a thrill.. I wish we could bottle our youth..
I love that quote by the way..

I really like this one..you have bottled that young love with this poem here..

(maybe speak without the s in the first stanza though?)

beautiful poetry...the burned heart part was sweet..we need to keep doing things like this for the ones we love

    young love...

I don't think we ever quite feel the same type of sweetness again as we do with our first love. It seems so more intense often... and we, or many of us, spend the rest of our lives trying to find it again! I loved this! Good luck in the contest!
