I must admit I had difficulty understanding this poem, although there are some nice touches of alliteration and play on words here. The syllable count in lines 2, 3 & 4 was incorrect (I counted 3 syllables in line 2 - should be 4; 4 in line 3 - should be 6 and 5 in line 4 - should be 8). You will still have to tweak this one again and perhap read the column I've provided on the contest page. But I do appreciate your effort.

    Thank you for entering.

Please check your syllable count. There is a link given in the instructions which directs you to a place where you can do that, if you need help with that. Also, please left justify, and review the instructions for the specific guidelines for traditional cinquains.

Thank you entering your poetry in this contest, and good luck. ,,,Moqui

      Thanks Moqui

I shall check this out. These CiaQuain quadrant thingy's are good. Forgive my inexperience within this style. My inexperience in this field of poetry is something I look forward to practising throughou the years ahead within the teachings of Allpoetry and people like yourself. Have a great Sunday!
