Ignorance

Let that mind of superiority go. . .
skin is only the wrapping on the gift.
Beaneath the flesh are all things the same.

Refuse to have cancer of the mind
by letting metasticism abound.
Picture yourself on the receiving
end of flatulant ignorance.

With all the pain in the world
it is inconceiveable that such a
minute thing as shades of color matter.

Pick up your common sense and march.
Every one who turns rascism away is
seeding the earth with new hope.

    I feel that list is unnecessary and would love to see it edited out. It would help, not only the flow but the poetic attributes within this strong piece.

    Indigenous people from all over the world have systematically been massacred since the rise of the white race. The Native American people, Aborigines, The Sonoy people of Malaysia, indian tribes in the Amazon region and rain forest of South-America and tribal people of Africa, all of whom had spiritual powers and knowledge of herbs and no or barely any material possessions. The white race relayed on devices to gain all sorts of things - guns, tools, scientific equipment. The ancient races need no system or properties to survive their habitat. White people cannot live without them. Their perception is limited to what their eyes and tools can detect, to what their devices can do for them. This is not the case with the ancient people. It is why they are a danger (to some groups in the white community) and why they are exterminated methodically. This is why their ways of living needed to be labeled inferior. When systems fail and structures crumble, it will become clear what talents will allow people to survive. Thank you for creating and sharing and good luck in the contest. Take care,
