Nature of Man

Why do we hurt what we love?
Why do we destroy what we build?
Our lives linked to death
Our deaths bringing forth new life.

Our histories make grim reading
Tomes stained with our own blood.
Our legacy is one of pain
A forlorn echo we can not escape.

Each moment of happiness so rare
Each pleasure so important.
This is why we seek despair
This is why we seek to destroy.

Please tell me what you think

Very Well written...I believe that manking was born into this world...Dating back to mesopotanian days... We fought for land, food, people....ect. Destruction is only....inevitable...
