I'm almost in tears
Because I know
I feel so down,
But others bleed below.
Hungry children
Laying in the streets,
Angry parents
With kids bruised and beat.
Girls see the models,
As pretty as can be
Dieting and binging,
To be a perfect size three.
The damned and the gods,
The weak and the strong,
The rich and the poor,
The right and the wrong.
Put a roof over his head
Give her a new dress,
This world is fucked up
It's all just a mess.
He made a mistake
And is now on the run,
Robbed a store for his daughter
And his precious little son.
Single mom
Silently sobs
Exhausted and failing,
With two full time jobs.
No reason to live,
No hopes for her dreams,
No strength to get up,
The pain too extreme.
Teens crying
Their own blood they bleed,
No one helps,
But thats what they need.
"They just want attention,"
"It's only a phase"
But inside they're torn
With a note where they lay.
A girl walks the hall
She covers a bruise
Came home late last night,
Got beaten and abused.
They look down on her
Because she is weird
Yesterday she cried,
And today disappeared.
I'm sick of this world
I'm sick of the pain
I'm sick of the truth
My tears pour like rain.
I seem so little
I'm nothing at all,
But if we all cared
Then no one would fall.

I was kinda sad and I don't know why.. thats how this poem came to be
