My Dream

Ah, these are delicious kisses
That roast a heart that misses
Your blesséd presence, your touch;
But why care I so much?

You're only the most beautiful creature
Of God's design, each feature
Is perfectly placed and proportioned,
And... and there's no rhyme for proportioned.

Oh, these are the sweetest tears
I've ever shed, dispelled are my fears
Having held you near, my love, my dream,
Thinking about you fills my shorts with cream.

The day will arrive very soon, I can tell,
When we can release these organs that swell,
And become one bodily as we are in soul:
I'll bring what I have, you bring the hole.

Author notes

Okay, this went somewhere I wasn't expecting it to go; I honestly was trying to write something sweet for you, my love, sorry it became this.  Enjoy it anyway, it's still straight from my heart... among other places of my person    .

    Hilarious...my kinda love poem!

OMG!!! What can I say? Just when you think its another one of those yawn lovey-dovey, oh-so-gooey (yeah, I'm disenchanted with love at the moment and sure to become its fool again someday, but...) "love" poems, it sneaks up and bites ya on the butt. I love it!!!

Poems only matter when they're from the heart. the heart is the only thing that really matters. good job with the poem, and good luck with your love life

OK OK...it made me laugh! A little crude, but I can be a lot crude from time to time, so I guess I can't complain. Should'a put it to music! Later, alligator. ET
