One Day Old

Did you care what colour a face was
Cast hatred on someone unknown
Turn innocent lives into bottomless pits
Clip wings before freedom had flown

Did you care what branding your clothes had
What manner of house you were in
Adorn your sweet hands with the rings of despair
Sip wine from the chalice of sin

never with you is the meaning of a word, a sentence for great thoughts ever wasted! This is completely outstanding in The truths of our world, questions that must be raised and acted upon whether for ourselves or for everyone! I would start, by self publishing some of these in a collection. Find an agent somewhere as nearby. Find an agent first is my utmost opinion! Take Care Stephanie,

A beautiful and haunting piece that is also so disturbing. Not sure that the second verse quite complements the first. I liked this.

    So lyrical and haunting...

"Did you care what colour a face was", "Sip wine from the chalice of sin"
Damn, you're such an artist with your lines!!! The first and the last complete a lyrical pastel! You are so talented, Stephanie! It's ridiculous!!!
