Happy Voting

Few years passed
Now we face with yet another
Term of elections
Only year ahead
Carefully listen
He says, she says
Typed agenda
Flyers are flying
Every door knob has one hanging

One is armoured
With schools and kids
Other with immigration
Yet other stands tall on war on Iraq
Few think highly for gas prices
Big talks about violence
Its not the guns that kill
Then why pass the bill
That prohibits owning gun?

Losing war on drugs is on
STDs are on a rise
Now we don’t even have excuses
It’s a gay thing
But war on Iraq
Food supply to other countries
Is far more important
Than feeding kids at home
Helping broken homes
Drugs on street
Guns in hands of kids
Kids thrown in foster homes
System losing kids

So many promises made
Lot more broken
Shown picture perfect scenes
But was only a movie
Smiles were shared
Before the rendered tears

Still come out of hibernation
With their effective slogans
Vote for me and I promise
The words are used and used
And then used yet again
Until the day of voting result

Then they wait until the time
When they are up for another term
To face a round of elections

Democrats and the liberals
Independants and Republicans
Who ever they represent
What agenda they have
All I know, they are first a politician
Even surpassing the phase of being just human

… Oh, don’t forget to vote for your local politician!
Pick a party or agenda
At the end they both blend
Looking after everyone else
But the ones suffering back home…
