Exercises in Futility (A 10 Minute Poem)

The poet penned
A masterpiece
For his elusive love

He hoped that then
She would release
The thing that he could shove

‘Twas not to be
She wanted not
His poems good or bad

She greedily
Only got hot
For men she hadn’t had
