Losing You and Trying Not To

I’m tryng to
Love you
But my heart is ripped in two

I’m trying
To stop the crying
My battered  heart is dying

I’m trying not to fall
But I can not control
God’s hand of fate
At all

I’m trying to be
Everything you want from me
But my  heart just can’t see
Why we’re meant to be

Author notes

Okay me and my lover have been together ten months and now that we can't see eachother very often, I fear i am falling out of love with the one good thing to ever happen to me.

Great use of the quote...was this a PW? I know what you're going through, or went through..I'm not sure how recent this poem was. But, there was this guy I liked and he liked me, but over the summer I completely lost intrest in the only guy that ever liked me back..it was kinda depressing..*sigh*. Oh well, anyways..I love your poem and thanks for entering.

You know, sometimes you get to a point in a relationshipe where you know you love someone but you also know that things just arent going to be. You just have to remember that what ever is meant to happen will happen. If you too are meant to be then your love will overcome these feelings and if you arent then you will part your way with peace. This was a very good write. It takes such a complicated feeling and turns it into a short and powerful write. Good job and good luck in the contest.
