    Hmm, interesting way of doing things, I expect I should do that more often, it's almost a minus times a minus makes a plus, kind of thing.

    Ooh. This is really insightful. I think that this is true for all of us--especially overachievers like me. We put ourselves down to motivate ourselves to do even better, not settling for the minimum. I like this a lot; it holds truth and I can really relate to it.
