Gone

If I was gone
You would need me

If I ran
You would try to run after me

You don't think you need me
But you do
and we both know it

You think that I'm your bench
You can lean on when your tired

What about me?
Where do I go?

What if I was missing?
You would come looking
But you wouldn't find me
Because I'm gone.

Author notes

This poem is about something different than unbearable. They're linked in a way, but not really.
