My Child

Intricately written words
Printed on delicate sheets
Of precious parchment
It has the ability
To rival the price of gold
To be more valued
Than anything
But nothing in this world
Will cherish it more
Than its nurturing creator
Oh those sweet words
Flow freely onto fragile
Documents of luxuriousness
They are his soul
They are his child
These words that drip
In such elaborate ways
Will always be
A part of himself

This is a moving piece about an artist's love which he has poured on his design. I can pretty much relate to this one. You had a good choice of wordings throughout the poem. Love the ending of this piece as well. Great job Di. Keep the ink flowing.

    Moving

Your words are well placed and paint a vivid portrait of a creator's love and devotion to their artfull work. It may have been a little easier to read with some purpousfully placed punctuation. It left me wanting to see more of the relationship in a good way.
