This January is strangely warm.
The afternoon winds are bringing a storm.
Once again, tomorrow
I'll be expected to perform.
All alone today
Wishing I had someone who
Wanted to play.
It's my day off work
Yet bored again
I need a car
To take me somewhere
I can lurk.
This unusual weather puzzles me,
Even though, people say
It's just Missouri.
I wonder if it's something more
Was the air this warm many years before?
My wiener dogs lay like logs.
I look outside as it fogs.
At least Missouri weather
Couldn't be as bored as me.
Always changing.

Wow, I LOVED this.. I don't live in Missouri but I have been there many times before.. Last time in late Feb, and we got caught in some awful storm that just rose up out of no where, when it was once a beautiful and peaceful day.
This January is strangely warm.

I LOVE that stanza.. It could be about anything, any person, any place, and any where.
