Where'd They Go??? (Gold Trophy)

Where’d They Go???

I know I made them

I always do, you know

But where’d they go

I’ve looked everywhere

They just aren’t there

Is it too late to care?

I know some of them were good

Best in the neighborhood

I’ll search more, I should

When I find them you’ll see

Just between you and me

My intentions were good as can be

So I’ll look for them some more

As I know good things were in store

Or I’ll make better ones than before

And this time I wont forget

New resolutions, I’m all set

Great satisfaction I’ll soon get

The year two thousand eight

Will surely be just great

Two thousand seven?... too late

This was different to read, but it does make you think about how you loose sight of what your goals were so i agree "where'd they go?" !!!!
    Great poem

Reminded me of looking online at a store ad a few days back...The whole ad was exercise equipment and diet supplements it seemed like. I had to laugh out loud because my first thought was
"Looks like their targeting all those New Years
resolutions that have just been made..."...lol

I need not make New Years Resolutions because I do
that every single morning I get up when I say to myself
    "Today is gonna be different..."

    Hugs...Eddy

    very funny

I love this but have to agree with Yem...I like passing the blame onto some one else...so are you sure you lost them or did some resolution grinch sneak in when you were busy on AP and steal them...I am still working on my last years resolutions but by golly, I think I have a handle on it now...be sure to ask for an up date about a month from now...like after january 31's...we, my quilting friends have a road trip coming up to not one but 2 really cool shops..a couple of the nicest in Florida...Now if I can either pass up the trip or if I decide to go can I refrain from 'buying'...We will see...Good luck..this is really a good entry...Darlene

LMAO! This is a cute take on unmet goals. They snuck away while you werent looking! This is my new excuse.
I didnt meet my goals last year because my resolutions ran away! Especially the one about eating less sugar. That didnt last long.

See now the difference between us, I'd say someone stole them, that shifts the guilt away from me. Like TrixieGoes said, you are funny...do the partners in crime have a lot of contests?
