to breathe in calmer blue,
my goad.
Author notes
Upper level wind maps of the atmosphere display the expected position of the jet stream in 24 hours. The colours on the map represent different wind speeds. The red, orange and purple family of colours represent stronger winds, or the jet stream, while the blues depict weaker winds (see map key). This map is very useful for locating the jet stream shown by the orange, red and purple colours.
Jet streams are strong wind currents are often defined as upper atmosphere winds that blow faster than 57 miles per hour (92 km/h).
