such a space
the distance we’ve carefully erased
to stick between each other like a sore thumb
i never thought i’d think about you.
years of memories
continuous like a party shuffle
gliding into the next dream
the next moment of my life spent steeping.
chorus:
create a wall
separating us from the real world
we can stay here tonight and
not remember a word.
artificial colours
black and blue
love and forgiveness
faking scenes just to make me say i love you.
*chorus*
bridge:
constant questioning
i don’t think that now but you will in time.
growing old means wilting into sagging skin
i am safe you are wild
balance what’s imbalanced
we’re becoming strangers
*chorus*
moving frequent stops
stuck in the place where i don’t want to be
without you
i never thought i could understand.
scenes so familiar
sucked from my memory
only to be used to mock me
humiliation comforts us.
back where it’s real
we’re not there.
day dream believers crying in the morning
realizing it was just a dream.
believing it was just a dream.
deciding it was no more than wishful thinking.

I can't write songs for shit, so this is really, really awesome...
"artificial colours
black and blue
love and forgiveness
fake scenes just to make me say
i love you, i love you, i love you.
maybe make you stay a little longer.
full of feeling.
vivid like orange
dangerously seductive
it was half bait."
That was my favorite stanza. I don't know much about songwriting rhythm or anything, so I'd actually really like to hear this to music/sung... it seems like it'd be really good. Good job.
