Being Late

Locking the doors
Because I wasn't fast enough,
How dare they?
Mark me zero attendance
Because I was just ten minutes late?
Why can't they wait?
I got lost looking for this lecture hall,
I can't miss a thing otherwise my parents
Wouldn't be happy and they'd ground me.

The lecturers should allow students
To enter even if they're a little late,
I can't run too fast, I am not a sports person
Plus I am still a new student and I am not good
In remembering directions or venues,
I need help to look around and find the classrooms.

I am stressed about this,
What if I leave something behind
while rushing?
They can't do this to us,
Making us look like fools
Waiting outside the lecture hall
Not knowing where to go.

Tomorrow's a Monday,
Another day to get up early,
Try to be punctual
And hopefully not get lost
Otherwise it would suck again.
