earthen heart

The sky is crying
once again.
Her tears drenching the ground
        on which we stand
Saltless water running down heaven's face.
quenching the droughted chasms
of my heart
I mingle with the astranged drops
... I tell each one 'hello'
for i know each one by name, by now

          The sky
She is crying again,
and THIS ground,
and this HEART,
soak up every
last
drop,
before the sun dries up,
and dries away her tears.

Never know when the next rain will come...
will the sky just sniffle? breathe?
or will she sob?
Will she drizzle, little by little, squeezing her eyes shut, hoping the tears won't come?
Heaven only knows!

And so my earthen heart
is soaked full-
    to the brim-
overflowing
and
    complete
Until father sun parts her clouds
and his rays apear...
and burn up
my dry,
wilted heart

Please tell me what you think

The emotions and imagery in this piece is heart wrenching. (I hope this is imagined.) Thanx for sharing, sis. Write on. One.

Tiffy, you've out done yourself once more. Your writing just keeps getting better. The imagery you use each poem you write is so great. I love the part

    " The sky
    She is crying again,
    and THIS ground,
    and this HEART,
    soak up every
    last
    drop,
    before the sun dries up,
    and dries away her tears."

It just shows how one's heart is being poured out.
