The wizard tapped his magick stick
and all the witches stopped to look.
Their weaving of the nighttime sky
stopped, abruptly, by the brook.
Old wizard smiled and nodded then
and clapped his hands and tapped his boot.
The dance began and all the folk
cast out their work and followed suit.
Whirling 'round the forest glen,
enchantment swirled and laughed delight.
All magick creatures leaped and twirled...
this lasted far into the night.
Beauty rained through every heart,
for nature smiled upon them all.
The wizard finally clapped his hands
and ended, then, the fey folk ball.

Enchanting
The meter is steady, and the wizard in your poem draws me into the dance. Lovely story, and well done.

An imaginative write and story. Good imagery, flow, rhyme and tone. Nice depth of feeling. Vivid descriptives, nice rhythm. Good word choice, nice alliteration and assonance. Well penned and much enjoyed.

I like this
A poem about a song filled night that could easily be a song itself. The scene came alive in my mind and I watched happily as I read each line. Very nice.
