been there with me since around 4th grade

raced with me when we almost
died from the Mexicans
but now that I think about it
we probably had it coming
with the three water balloons
that we threw at their car
Hiding behind a Van
we really thought we would die
finally escape, racing
down the alleyway
we crashed into my room
laughing at our Dare
looking back now
how we didn't get caught
I'll never know

Now she's married
sporting three cute ass kids
Her daughter acts like just she did
when we were both ten
when she gets on the phone
and complains about her guts
I just laugh and say
"Heath...honey she's just like you."

I don't know what was bothering me before
because the minute I heard your voice
it just blew away,
but that's what best friends do.
