i never gave it thought,
until now-
with the words said,
and the foundation laid
with promise made,
if you could see
into my soul,
would you know
the love there,
the love for you,
began before
our paths ever crossed?
would you know that
in the simplest things
i find you...
even though you're not here.
would you know that
many memories cherished
are memories of yesterday.
memories of a simple time,
before life stepped in,
and fate,
-so cruel-
changed it.
would you know that
never a day would go by,
that thoughts filled with you,
would not be in my heart.
would you know that
forever i would love you?
