Bless you mother and your smile,
Your laughter and your tears,
Bless you father and your love,
Your conquering of fears
Thank you parents for my wings,
With my halo I’m at peace,
Thank you loved ones for your help,
For filling in the missing piece
Without your thought I would be pained,
Barely making it through,
Without your minds I’d live in vain,
I don’t know what I’d do
I wouldn’t talk and barely walk,
I wouldn’t even think,
I’d live a life of misery,
Into my pain I’d sink
But loving mommy and daddy of mine,
You chose what fate is best,
Most thoughtfully and carefully,
You’ve allowed me peace and rest
Author notes
Although in 99.9% cased of abortion I am completely against it there is one case that I beleive is ok, If the child would live a terible life of disease or something that would cause him/her pain every day. This poem is written from an aborted baby to her parents who had an abortion only to save her from metaphoric death.
