I hear this voice
Inside of my head
Should I rejoice?
Or should I be scared instead?
Who are you?
Why are you talking to me?
You stick in my head like glue.
Can you just leave me be?
Did I do something wrong?
Am I in trouble?
I used to feel strong.
But now I feel like I'm a double.
Then, the voice talks back!
It says "Don't be afraid"
I will not attack.
I will come to your aid.
I tell you what's wrong
With the way you act,
and where you belong.
Yes, this is a fact.
So go on and play
But do not ignore me.
Don't push me away.
Because I will not leave.
I am always with you,
To help you fix things,
and when you are feeling blue.
The truth is what I will bring.
