Lo, How I Long

Lo,
How I long to Dance
neath the Moonlight,
to feel its tender
Caress;
Lo,
How I long to Run
Barefooted and Free
through the Pines.
Lo,
How I Wish
to Dance,
to Run,
To Embrace
my Love,
In the Silver
Moonbeam's light,
to Sing sweetly
to her,
Songs of Long-ago
Loves,
of Hunts
Wild and
Untamed.
I long for my
Love,
my Mate.

Author notes

To Love, a Wild and Untamed Thing. To Amber, my wild and untameable woman.

wow, I think some of these lines could be combined to make a more full looking poem, but its so beautiful.

    great work.
