Dark Doorway

The lights burn out
The whole house it still
If you didn't know
whose house it is
you'd think it was abandoned
Suddenly one light flickers
in an upstairs bedroom
An unknown force draws
you towards the room
Without thinking you
enter the house
Making your way
up to the mysterious room
Outside the moon is full and
shines brightly
The silver light
brightens the whole room
except for one
dark doorway
Curious, you slowly walk
towards the doorway
A scream resounds
throughout the house
Unaffected, you keep moving
The darkness of the shadow
looms over you
An almost silent, sinister laugh
echos from the doorway
Growing louder and more potent
It stops you in mid-stride
All is silent again
You're still uneasy about moving
Not knowing what to do
you stare into the darkness
Waiting for something, anything
to happen
Just as you start
having second thoughts
about staying in the house,
diamond shaped, red eyes
open and stare at you
They seem so bright
in the darkness
that you stare in awe,
That sinister laugh
echos once again
rendering you motionless
The room turns into an
icy wonderland
You start shaking involuntarily
Something is coming
You hear faint screams
coming from the doorway
A hand
wrapped in black silk
and soaked in blood
reaches out to you, slowly,
Unable to move
you let it take you
to the depths of pergatory

    Yea this has the horror movie feel to it and its put togather nicely. The only thing I didnt get was the word pergatory, cuz I dont know what it means. You know I got a small vacab.

    How do you not get it?

    Why didn't they just turn around when they heard the scream.

    And I think it's purgatory which is where spell check is stuck I guess

    You write good but you knew that.

      its like a horror movie... curiosity and suspense and excitement and anxiety all in one... its just a story.. no real deeper meaning.. unless you find one that works for you..


      its just something out of the ordinary and full of danger i guess
