Upon my soul the kiss of light
extends our love from which extreme
The Angels sing a tender dream;
to pull an eyelid down, tonight!
Forever was born in my heart that day
was found not lost to what extent
And all that we were became enchantment,
should this gift decide we stay.
My love.. my soul my life in your hands
who pulls us through like cottonwool;
Death take me and make me beautiful
knit the mystery it commands.

it sounds like something Shakespeare would write if he was alive now rather than way back when(huge compliment right there). you know what your doing and you do it well. very very nice job!!!

Such an interesting contest where one has to fill in each second line. Liked the ones you added to this half created poem, and so did the host - nice silver to show for your efforts. Congratulations. Interesting rhythm and rhyme scheme, and flow all the way through.

Wow, this is such a deep poem with so much emotion. I really enjoyed this, especially the last two line. Well done and congratulations for the silver trophy.

Wow, really love those last two lines, just rounds it off so nicely. Great subtle rhyme and some lovely word choices help fully evoke a mood here. Good job!

wow, the title of the poem really got me here, "Unbeknown to Death" i really like that its so mysterious and dark.
as for the poem itself, lets just say it outweighs the title surprisingly because of its awsomeness! i love it, a wonderful peice worthy of the silver.

This is a wonderful write; it's dark but has an air of hope. I really like the abba rhyme scheme it sets the tone for this piece.
