Oh, God, please,
Watch over her,
Even though she's cast me aside,
I still worry for her
Haven't heard from her in a while,
And, although I selfishly wonder if she cares about me,
I do understand that she has her own life,
But I also still worry for her
God, please, grant her happiness,
It may not be with me, but I don't care about that at this point:
She truly deserves to be happy,
Please, God, watch over her,
And grant her all her wishes,
I will sacrifice my own if it will help,
I just want her to not suffer,
I will suffer in her place,
Just let her be happy
Please, God, please,
Let her not worry about me:
Give her sweet amnesia
So that she may merrily traipse about in her carefree life,
I will gladly succumb to all of Hell's tortures,
As long as she doesn't have to
God, give my love, give her wings
So that she may soar above
All the petty problems
In which mere mortals are mired
Just let her not have to feel how I feel now.
Watch over her,
Even though she's cast me aside,
I still worry for her
Haven't heard from her in a while,
And, although I selfishly wonder if she cares about me,
I do understand that she has her own life,
But I also still worry for her
God, please, grant her happiness,
It may not be with me, but I don't care about that at this point:
She truly deserves to be happy,
Please, God, watch over her,
And grant her all her wishes,
I will sacrifice my own if it will help,
I just want her to not suffer,
I will suffer in her place,
Just let her be happy
Please, God, please,
Let her not worry about me:

More than my own happiness, I want yours, A - - - - - -. Whether that means anything to you or not doesn't matter, it means a lot to me. I love you, and I always will. Chase happiness, it doesn't, it can't run faster than us.

Wow, what a lucky girl to have something so precious. Something so real to look back upon in days that may not seem so clear.

This, this is love. Right here. Pure, honest, true, unselfish love. MuseStalker's right, she was a fool to leave this behind. This is quite possibly the sweetest thing I've ever read (although it reminds me of a scene from Bruce Almighty, but it seems so much more real coming from you than from Jim Carey). Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, and very brave of you to post something so personal. I hope the heartache passes.

Awesome, as always
Awesome poem. Had hard time relating. I'm at a place of "hope he breaks a leg", so this poem couldn't get me there. What it did do is give me a wicked longing to have someone love me like this. And made me feel I probably don't deserve it. Wasn't a happy trip, but I took pics and will examine them at leisure during my nightly slideshow. Usually, the things we most need to hear are those that are the least pleasant. Thanks for the journey. (on a personal note: she's a fool to have let you slip away!) -
What a sweet and unselfish poem you have written. The kind of love you speak of is rare indeed. Unfortunate that the relationship didn't work out, sounds like you really care about this person. I hope things turn around for you, its not a good place to be, feeling so lost without the one we love. Take care and I hope you can find this kind of love again. Nothing like it in the world.

I absolutely loved this poem. That is cool how you can say that all you want is for her to be happy. My favorite part prolly was
I will gladly succumb to all of Hell's tortures,
As long as she doesn't have to
that was really awesome. Anyway, great write.

your emotion comes right through the screen
