recognize yourself

pretty ever-changing eyes
that are so deep, but so cold and hard
a lovely full mouth that seems so soft
but can produce such harsh, painful words
a voice, so hypnotic and mesmerizing
that makes you forget you
and hair so soft and warm
that shelters so many unique thoughts
this is who you want to be
but all you see is confusion, and ugliness
someone with no chance
bland features and dull prospects
a future no one is interested in
so unlike the well-liked person
the beautiful, and kind person
you look in the mirror and hate what you see
the dark blue eyes, so unordinary
with the coal black hair
the cool smile, betraying nothing
the humble job at the animal shelter
the decent grades, hte sports award
it all means nothing
compared to the person you want to be
the populars, you fail to recognize
the truth, the hope
you cant recognize yourself

This poem expresses a powerful feeling of broken dreams. I like the description and particularly the opposition between what could be and what is. You have used a bit too many adjectives for my taste but I still think this has a lot of potential.
As for the contest experiment, I don't think you were on my list of invitees, were you?
No matter who you are, thanks a lot for entering!
