I stood on the grassy cliff, staring at the ocean.
The brilliant sun sank inside it, leaving the stars to see.
The final rays of thought flew right up to me
And made me think about the past, the past, the past.
And as I thought about the past,
My outstretched arms gathered up the cool calm mist,
Into groups that showered my body with happiness,
And made me think about the past, the past, the past.
And as the stars glimmered bright,
A large, hungry wind tried to blow me away
But I stayed put; my hair and tunic flying back
Made me think about the past, the past, the past.
Then the moon shone brightly, all crumpled and thin,
Looking at the ocean; looking at its twin.
Then everything turned off; my hands dropped; a smile came.
Which made me think about the past, the past, the past.
