A Poem For Wendy

She wants to be a poem,
she stomped her feet,
Pooh,
What am I to do?

She's already a girl
and that's a poem,
all soft and sticky
tricky and warm.
How is that not a poem,
Pooh?
What am I to do?

Maybe, if I said she was love
all curled up safe
like a kitten on the balustrade
maybe  that would be alright.
Pooh?
I don't know what else to say.

    good

This was most enjoyable. Funny that she wanted to be a poem.
    Loved the lines:

Maybe, if I said she was love
    all curled up safe
like a kitten on the balustrade

    thanks,

    John

You're so beautiful, this is lovely.

I was thinking about it the other day - I think poems are alright, but people are better.

Tricky is a great word it makes me think of The Cure and stuff

Sticky Licky Tricky Picky Spicky Kicky

    Iky words rock don't they?

This poem's so warm and tender, I love it.

Only you could write a childrens poem and use the word balustrade and get away with it. This is sweet though Lutie.

Now Desi wants to be a poem too, damnit!
/stomps her feet and walks away.

and a balustrade is a row of balusters topped by a rail, serving as an open parapet, as along the edge of a balcony, terrace, bridge, staircase, or the eaves of a building. You're such a freak and I mean that in the most endearing way.

Girls become poems and poets become homeless.

So many things are poetry. You point that out with your words here. Living is poetry, the kind unnoticed. Life is poetry, easy to overlook. The girl in these three stanzas is very much poetry. Great job...

Aw... she'll like this. 'and that's a poem all soft and sticky'. Affectionately teasing. I am fond of affectionate teasing.
