Mommy don't Cry

Mommy please know,
My heart is yours.
Just God has decided,
with him I'm secure.

The nation on earth,
is falling apart.
Away from harm,
in heaven I'll start.

He's given me,
a pair of wings.
Everyday,
I sit with kings.

He has made me,
An angel now.
I heal and guard,
he's teaching me how.

He said my heart,
is perfect and pure.
That's why he chose me,
to stand at heaven's door.

He promised we,
will hug once more.
You will meet me,
at heaven's door.

Love you mommy,
Don't cry for me.
I watch you daily,
close your eyes,
you'll feel me.

Author notes

Option 4...
I am truly sorry for the loss of your family, I too lost a child through misscarraige, I feel this is why they left us in this world. I hope this helps put a smile and ease in the heart.

A contest entry

My mother taught me if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. We are not here as pros, we are here to share our art and have fun. *grin*

I'm sincerely hoping that the note in your authors notes is directed towards the other contest holder. Anyways, I felt no relation to this, which would explain why (as heartless as I am) I'm nowhere near tears. Thank you for entering.

You said it right, HEARTLESS. I have never been so appalled in my life at a comment as this one. If you did not enjoy reading it just move along, do not respond in such a disgusting manor. Many mother's and father's have unfortunatly had to face this horrible situation and you my dear show your age in mind with this response.

I'm terribly sorry that you were offended. And yes, many mother's and father's have lost their children. And many children have lost their parents. And many parents don't deserve children. Many parents abuse/neglect/hurt children. So many children have, indeed, become "heartless". Forgive me for offending you, but I stand by what I said before. This has, in no way, brought me anywhere near tears. Still a pretty piece.

Wow. This is so sad yet so delightful too. I am in the contest "An Instant Must-Enter," And I saw this. It looked so sad that I just had to read it, and when I saw the title it caught my eye. When I came to read it, I saw the picture up top, and I knew it was about a baby who had passed on. I am very sorry for your loss, my mother has gone through 3 miscarriages (Before I was born). Congratulations on the golden trophy, it was well earned and you definitely deserved it!! Nice hypothesis to why they take babies.

What a sad piece of poetry, I don't doubt why you won the first place. Very good poem my dear and I'm sorry for the loss. I really am...poems like this just always make me feel sad yet nice because it's good when you see that people are strugling with big problems yet try to move on. Great one.
    Keep writing

First, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Then I would like to say how very touching this piece was. When I read your poem, I felt like you knew me and what I was going through. I guess you could say it was a magical feeling. I have added you to my favorites list, by the way. Keep writing. You're amazing!!
