Entombed within,
invisible bars.
Masked emotions,
bury the scars.
Irreversible damage,
resulting from Lyme.
Youth and energy,
destroyed through time.
Daily occurrence,
burning pain.
Radiating, tearing,
cause emotional drain.
Lack of fight,
within my soul.
More often than not,
feel the loss of control.
Psyche playing,
clips of the past.
Memory losing,
images fast.
My future frightening,
approaching the unknown.
Heart forever pleading,
witness my children grown.

i admire your strength, sometimes feel like this after day after day of splitting headaches, but i can't imagine what it would be like to live each day with this kind of pain constantly eating away at you. even if you're worn down by it and feel like you don't have the energy to fight it, it's great that you are able to write about it. hope the pain has ebbed some since you wrote this! -
