I found that nothing
Leads to nothing:
Your little games and tricks
Of tenderness and devotion
Were part of your master plan.
You treated me gently,
As if I were a bird that too
Heavy a touch would crush.
You seemed to be all
I had ever wished for:
The one of whom I had dreamed.
But you destroyed my wishes,
And crushed my hopes.
You were the manipulator,
Weaving my dreams into
Your deceitful web.
I thought I loved you,
And I did:
I loved the person
I thought you were.
But no more:
I see you now as you
Truly are, and I could
Never love such as you.

This is a very good write and clearly expresses the things that we can overlook when we are in love, such as the fact that the person is only pretending to be somebody that you might like.
Good luck with the contest -
this is very good thanx very much for entering
