a Childs Dreams

A kiss from my lips on your soft pudgy cheeks.

A night time game of peeka boo peeks.

A bedtime prayer along the side of the bed.

GOD, look after mommy and daddy are the words that you said.

A book that was read until your eyes began to doze.

The three little pigs and I came to a close.

A night light turned on so not to scare.

How could I not? I would not dare.

A long silent sleep was all that I wished.

Your dreams grew strong and continued to persist.

A father with fear of  things to come.

A child's dreams of many and not of some.

A mother crying because she can't bare anymore.

A father on his knees pleading from the floor.

A GOD who answered every last plea.

Now a happy family.

Damn it's good to be me.

Damn ,sure sounds good to me, a Father with time to read and plead, share and care, now, that IS a happy family.NB bare/bear. The picture added misplaced focus.
This was my dream as a child and remains my dream for every child.
