A Sky Colored Like Glass

So who thought of
fields of blue but
hands written of in heart-orange:
calligraphy of
barley-grey grass
blowing in silver runes?

Seeing these fields
and your smile locked in
the longhaired grass,
I'll say this:
the suitcase is Camille;
Amsterdam is Bruin.

On my jeans I rested pots of paint
and earth-painted pots,
            swirling
in heaven and in
    yummy fingerpaint.

I painted horses in the sky
and glazed them with red.

In darkening sky fields held by electric wires
the rising it is Bruin's
        the words they were Camille's.

And on my jeans I rested
navy windows
        and dandelions for sunlight.
The ribbon's for Camille;
          the barley-grey's for Bruin.

Author notes

Yes. This sounds random. Obviously. most of it makes sense in a very hidden way though: writing runes on blue paper with an orange pen makes grey grass-like markings. Camille and Bruin are from a story. The suitcase is the 'Walk On' suitcase with the heart inside from U2's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' album. Amsterdam is a Coldplay song ending with the line 'You came along and you cut me loose'. the fourth paragraph is about how when I drew horses sometimes I would take a break from the tedious graphite stick sketches and just draw these big fat ponies with a million different colors, like how I imagined the sky and heaven to be like and they would turn out sort of like the 'Trail Of Painted Ponies', like this one http://www.rods.com/eccStoreImages/product_images/2004/1457-tb_T.jpg ) That's kind of what this is - a sort of emotional release with lots of color and stuff that makes me happy.
it may be seen from this that I see 'glass' as a colorful word, not clear like the material is.

    This piece does have some amazing bursts of imagery within. Very well expressed in the abstract light. It is thought provoking indeed, as one can tell there are many different personal thoughts sewn inside. Nicely penned! Thank you for your entry & Best wishes in the contest!

    Wonderful imagery, I thought the notes helped clarify the meanings I didn't understand the first time though. Thanks for entering my contest :]

    I found it interesting that the notes to the poem were more confusing than the poem itself. That's quite an achievement.
