Tsk, Tsk, To Make Some Bisque

A Modern Nursery Rhyme

Children playing in a park,
I see soldiers, bringing dark.
People who used to sit on benches,
fall like fodder in the trenches.
We play the game, down we lie;
choose to do, or not: you die.

I do not like you, you're not me;
the differences are vast, you see.
So, I will put you where you can't be
and in so doing, I will be free.

Hide and seek with consequences,
all games have their recompenses.
Mr. Soldierman is seeking,
Consciences with guilt are leaking.
Place a rose upon a chest,
Divvy up, divide the rest.

I do not like you, you're not me;
the differences are vast, you see.
So, I will put you where you can't be
and in so doing, I will be free.

And now the knight rides in to rescue;
all that is left now pushes up fescue.
A lighter world, less bodies hiding,
the game we play, we're genociding.
It's always been, will be forever;
we are so smart, in our endeavour .

I do not like you, you're not me;
the differences are vast, you see.
So, I will put you where you can't be
soon no one's left...
not even me.

      You do not see the correlation? I suppose you are too young then. The references to mass murder, the hiding of the Jews, the fact the Germans stole their valuables after gassing them, you do not see that? I could enter another poem, but in order to be more clear, I would have to be less poetic. Do you want an in depth explanation of each line? I can do that, but I doubt it will change your mind.

          Okay. I just thought my references were there, if one knew their history. And I know what you mean about reading things when tired or distracted. So, well wishes.
