snow weaved in drowsy fall,
a chrysalis silence of soft night
lasts, passes as a dream,
illuminated for a piebald holiday.
garlands firs, hidden in hearts
mad phantasm ever persists,
as a delighted story, marvelous lie
of a paradise low, nobody hears.
ah! can keep, in babyish soul,
carols of divine music,
magical in fire of memory.
but filled up softest delight,
can believe instant happiness to come,
without hate either rancor, or suffering.
