We dig in search of China
drawing conflicting lines on maps
while hallucinating on water
What is life when we dwell in spiderwebs
of convoluted voyages all going nowhere
arguing with ice, pretending to exist
in ash trays, while inhaling naphthalene
to numb suicidal thoughts
God becomes a placebo, a pill to swallow
just like the others in life's asylum
