Fired within fury of age wrestle,
carriage careens
rousting reds beneath crimson sky.
Practical rubs and teak oils
blend adventures from a younger sea.
Mermaid memories glisten
in night air
breathing the moon,
swimming the sky.
Journal entries quell brittle logs.
Captain's quarters remember themes.
Whale song sings silent night
softly caressing
bow to crest,
crest to bow.
Retirement mingles Autumn air
casting sunset spray to sparkling foam.
Flames house evening zephyr,
rescinding russet wind,
daring to thunder where time flows.

A story beyond the picture... That's what this showed to me; the full life of those who sail the seas. I love the sea and miss it constantly so this one brought it all to my mind again. I like it when a poem brings memories to me, even though your words go deeper and further than just my mind.
You did a beautiful job with this one with perfect wording for such a story. Thanks for entering this one, I like it a lot!
