Midnight.
Dressed in black with her white skin and the wind blowing fiercely through her fiery red hair making her look ethereal.
Uncaring of the danger she stood in front of the coffin staring at the skeletal mound, chanting magical incantations to conjure the angel of death to reincarnate this mystical being.
Sand batters her from all sides as the wind howls. Spiders scurry into invisible cracks in the walls. Her eyes wild, she works herself into a frenzy, waving her hands and chanting louder.
The skeleton sits up with a roar and slowly changes shape. Skin and muscle grows covering over his exposed bones.
Alive again he turns on her. Grabbing her arms he clasps his mouth to her neck and sucks all life out of her.
A monster is left free to roam the lands once more.
Evil lives again!

Dear Poet,
The rules clearly state from the start that you
must use both Option and Word Bank and place your
selections in the author's notes.
I see that you have done neither; therefore, if and
when you elect to do so, place "edited" alongside
your title and I will then read your entry and enter
your work into the competition.
Thank you for stopping in; we'll look forward to
your completed entry.
Blessings of peace, love, light
