Saving Grace

Young goddess in red, soft smile on her face;
Sweet angel woman, my saving grace.
She speaks of the stars in such tender tone;
And prays for a prince to call her own.

She seeks the good man who would share her fate;
Love and protect her, she waits at the gate.
Her gentle heart hurt, left out in the rain;
When she finds her prince, she'll forget her pain.

I see from her words she hails from the sun;
With magic and love her heart can be won.
When just the right man bows low at her feet;
She’ll open the door to a love so sweet.

We search for the same, one lover of worth;
A prince, an angel, who walks the earth.
We could share our fate through eternity…

my saving Grace, and Grace saving me.

    ohhh. I love it. especially since you used grace. JK that doesn't effect it. I really like this poem, especially here;

    We search for the same, one lover of worth;
    A prince, an angel, who walks the earth.
    We could share our fate through eternity…
  • To the author,
    This poem has become my FAVORITE...

    I personally can relate to many of the verses as true experiences. My life and Love life and the person I love now is like a dream come true... and everything that you are saying in it is the same way I feel towards this guy that I am totally in love with!
    I'm hoping that as the days grow past i'll get closer to him...

    Your saving grace,
    ~~GRACY~

    "I see from her words she hails from the sun;" unless you're talking about a poem of hers you read, this doesn't really fit. actually, it's only the "I see from her 'words'" part.
    "She seeks the good man who would share her fate"
    Fate is a word that is more slouched towards the negative side. Try another.

    This is a beautiful piece! I enjoy the rhyme scheme in it.
    You know my editing rules It's always up to the author in the end.

    aw, how sweet is this poem!!!
    I think every girl feels this way at some point, wanting to be whisked away by the prince who will love her forever...and wishes every guy could a.) understand this notion so well and b.)put it into words for her as poetically as you did.
    A wonderful write that expresses the idea perfectly.

    Wonderful

    I loved this poem. To be swept away by a prince that is what fairy tales are made of. "When she finds her prince, she'll forget her pain". This line is so true. All the pain we go through until we find that perfect someone. Once we meet love washes that pain away. Further this line "With magic and love her heart can be won" Beautful words. What a great verse. I hope you will be lucky and find that special one. Thank you for sharing your words.

    When she finds her prince, she'll forget her pain.

    To Sigh For...

    Can I help it if I like this poem so much, I read it at least once a day? Yeesh. It's just so.... perfectly 'charming' and romantic, of course. And hey... where's my poem, mister? I've only been waiting 3 years now. Harumph! To the boot with ye!

    [chuckle] Okay, so maybe I already have my Prince Charming. But I must say, blessed is the girl who wins you, my friend.

    There are very few people who truly care about others before themselves. There are even less who take the time to learn the heart and soul of another with such consideration, desire, and patience as you often do. You are a terrific friend, a wonderful human being, an AMAZING poet, and most definitely The Unfound Prince.

    One day, your Princess will look upon you and smile.

    Wonderful!

    Jeez, I'm such a romantic. I truly enjoyed this piece. It was lovely, like a fairytale in the making, and I do love fairytales.

    Normally I don't copy & paste, but I loved this:

    We search for the same,
    one lover of worth;
    A prince, an angel,
    who walks the earth.

    Spoken like a true (romantic at heart) poet. And don't we all seek that one lover of worth.

    Nicely done. Which is probably why I can't wipe this goofy smile off of my face now.
