Him

His scent lingers,
Pauses of breath in the silence.
The cold face of the moon stares down,
Mocking,
Everyone seems to.
But I find hope.

Imprints of him surround me,
Everything is focused,
Around him.
No one believes it could happen.
But I find passion.

The reassurance of his touch has passed.
Something acquired and never forgotten.
Desperation falls near,
But I find faith.

The sight that produces an uncontrollable wave of devotion,
Will it ever appear again?
Complications that were resolved,
Has the sight of love suddenly vanished from your eyes?
The note that changed me.
It states there is no us,
It is I and him now.
But I find love.

Late,
I find myself pondering,
What does this convey for me?
Vanished like the act of a magician’s cape,
Covering the stars of our hearts.
I seek no condolences,
For I,
I find hope.
