The new year dawns
And another memory fades
As she looks toward the future
Thousands of memories ahead
Waiting on her to create them
The young girl looks away
Up into the beautiful sky
Reflecting on the past
The smile and the tears
The love and the heartbreak
Ans she says goodbye
To all the trouble and pain
As she walks away
But she said welcome
To all to come
And embraced love in her heart
Bravely going on her way
Into the unwritten memories
