Maybe I can't stop global warming
Maybe I can't save the Polar Bears
Maybe I can't feed all the starving children of the world
And maybe I can't save you
from jumping off the edge of the cliff
plummeting down
down
down
farther and farther away
from everyone else.
Maybe you'll be at the bottom of the cliff
curled up by yourself
and maybe I can't stop you
But I can sure be the ladder back up
If you change your mind.

This is a very compelling poem,I love how it draws you in and holds the interest very tightly from beggining to end,not to mention this is sooo very beautiful ans special,it would make the most excelent greeting card,and inspirational poster too!!!!!!

Ahhh, this is wonderful. We cannot control many things, like global warming (as you state) and we cannot control others behavior. but we can be there for them when they stumble and fall. great job on this one.
